Adidas Launch F50 Adizero 3

Today sees the official unveiling of the 3rd incarnation of Adidas’ well known speed boot, the Adizero.

The new silo of the boot sees a complete redesign of the boot, which maintains its minimal weight at just 165g.

We see a re-engineered ‘sprint skin’ on the boot, which is just 1.5mm thick, giving a great touch on the ball while allowing for a light weight boot.

The “sprint web” on the boot is the texture on the surface of the boot that gives you additional control, which can be a real problem on a synthetic boot.

Finally, we see the well known Sprint Frame re-applied to this boot, allowing for the same lightweight stability we saw in its previous models.

As featured on the product sketch, the campaign slogan for the boot will be “find fast”, and it sees a major focal shift from Adidas towards MiCoach on the boot. Those of you who have owned the last F50 will be well aware of the MiCoach Cavity in the soleplate of the boot, which allows you to track and sync your work outs with a computer – and its clear already that this will be greatly emphasised with the launch of this F50

From Mid November the boot will hit pitches on the feet of pros including Dani Alvez, Karim Benzema, David Silva, David Villa and Lukas Podolski.

The boot launches tonight, where the one and only Leo Messi will wear the boot against Celtic in a UEFA Champions League clash

The retail date of the boot looks to be December from Adidas retailers.
